SMS with ET200S and MD 720-3

LiuT Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi to all I have made a project that should allow the sending of SMS with a serial interface card and a MD720-3 modem with rs232 protocol. In order to test it, I have connected the serial interface card to the PC hyperterminal and after that, the modem.This program receives all the characters from the card without mistakes and I am also able to see in buffer that I have created in the step7 project that the reception is also good. The hyperterminal also works well with the modem and SMS are sent correctly The problem is that the modem and the card don´t seem to understand each other, despite the fact that they work well with the PC. I don´t know if I am facing an electrical or a wiring problem... or just an incompatibility between these devices. I have made similar SMS programmes with S7200 and md 720 or S7300 and cp 340 and I did not have this kind of trouble. I have to say that the cable connections shown in the serial interface manual did not work and I had to start trying different positions of the cables until the Hyperterminal could read the incoming characteres from the ET200. Has anyone had this problem before? I´m kinda desperate for finding a solution Thanks in advance

Could you please send me a sample program for sending sms via MD720-3 modem? Unfortunately my communication between ET200 and MD720-3 is not working and I don't know how to fix it.
