soft keys not working on 840D

mitch d Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello all. I have a multi station cnc machine running withan 840D and we are not able to use all of the soft keys. It had this problem a couple months ago and our oem told us it was because a profibus module (6FC5247-OAF11-0AA0) was bad. They are able to look at it remotely and were able to get our counters reset and get us back up and running but it has done it again and after changing the module they said was bad it still has the same problem. We have a hand held pendant which sometimes allows us to operate the control but this is a huge problem. If anyone has any ideas please help!

The Unit what your talking about is 6FC5247-0AF11-0AA0 SINUMERIK 810D/840D DIRECT CONTROL KEY MODULE PROFIBUS DP Can you remove the flat band cable and on the DNC unit and check Regards, Prakash
