We acquired in one of our project in Algeria many soft starter types: 3RW44 54-6BC44; and subsequently an unknown problem we had a problem with control cards. Thus, we have received as spare parts, a standard control cards type:"3RW44 5.-.BC4." Then when we try to set the starter, we cannot exceed 78 Amps in rated current, May be there is a procedure that we ignore; you’re be kind to give us the solution in best time as you can.

There are many plugs you have to plug-in! Are you sure that the fault happen only in the old control module and the power module is working well? If yes, How could you know? Do you have another softstarter of the same par-number? I ask you in order to put the new control board on its power module and test. If every thing is ok, then you have a faulty power module! But first of all, check that all the plugs have been connected in its right places and also tell us about the fault. Regards,

The control boards they sentto you must bealright but you need to update the firmware in order to set the current range properly. The only problem is that this procedure can only be performed by an authorized repair center, so you need to send them back to the nearest Siemens office to have them updated. I hope it helps! Santoosh Posts: 22 Rating: (7)	Hi KAM, I think the software is "Update Tool" and it will be available only with authorized reapir centres of SIEMENS. It says that each time you repalce the card, you have to use this software. Also another software "firmware update" through which device software can be updated. This can be done only above certain version of the devices.
