I have  a Simatic S7-300, CPU 313C-2 DP and some I/O modules that are Connected as well.

I want to do the following: 

- Connect With my Laptop and make a new program

- Design a HMI program With Connections to the program. 

Question is: 

What kind of software/updates do I need to innstall on my Laptop? And where to buy it?

Hello,

for S7-300 you can use 2 SW Suites:

1.) Step7 V5.x + WinCC flexible

2.) TIA Step7 Professional + TIA WinCC

Depends which PLC and modules you have exactly you can use both SW suites.
If the PLC and/or I/O modules are to old then they not supported in TIA and you can use only the classic SW Suite (1.)

Which Order numbers have the modules and PLC exactly?

Which HMI do you use (Panel?)

The SW can be buy in the Siemens Mall, or Siemens Sales partner next xou.

Am a beginner who just started to learn about Siemens PLC from scratch. I have the following set up: 

AI module        331-7KB02-0AB0

AO module      332-5HD01-0AB0

HMI Panel: 6AV6 545-0BA15-2AX0

Maybe there is a startup/config. explanation document for setting this up  ?

hi Kabbe,

because your CPU is too old for TIA you need to use the "Classic" Step7 5.x

Where do you procure the current trial software for STEP 7 V5.6?
