It will be great if some one gives information about the type of hardware module, special cards and special function modules in siemens. Some of them are, Please don't mistakle me if I miss something, Communications methods in Siemens PPI, MPI, Profibus (DP & PA), Ethernet, Profinet, ASI, Hart, Profinet, Foundation field bus. PPI number of nodes 1 MPI number of nodes 32 PROFIBUS number of nodes 128 The S7 families: S7 200, S7 300 , S7 400 & S7 1200 Extention Methods ET 200S ( Profinet & Profibus) , ET 200M ( Profinet & Profibus), ET 200L ( not in use)
