erwan84 Regular Member Joined: 7/1/2018 Last visit: 10/10/2021 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'v a LOGO!8 : 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA0 ver 1.82.01 I use Soft Logo 8.2 I've tried many sdcards all in fat32, i even buy new one: Transcend micro SDHC 8GB In diagnostic --> Micro Sd Card Rear error If i try to copy program on sdcard: Card unknown What can I do? Thanks

I also have the current LOGO!8.2 (order number 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA0) with the firmware 1.82.01. In the LOGO! I have tried a different SD cards: - Emtec SDHC 16GB Class4 - SanDisk Ultra SDHC 16GB Class 10 as well as an older SanDisk 2 GB. All work in the LOGO !.

erwan84 Regular Member Joined: 7/1/2018 Last visit: 10/10/2021 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Ok, I don't have windows so I did try slow format with linux --> Read Error Card Unknown I did go to the neighbourg to have it slow format by windows --> Same result Read Error Card Unknown The card is a MicroSDHC does it change something? must it be a MicroSD? Looks not with what you say.. I'm lost. Is there some step i missed? I don't have to do something special to make it work? Thanks

For that you have to go to a Windows PC. And most important: format with FAT32. Not FAT, not FAT16, not NTFS or something else. Absolutely FAT32, and slowly. In my above post I have written that I also use SDHC Cards.

BUT because I was not sure I did go to my neigbourg who have windows and he did make me a slow FAT32 format.. And it still not working.. Here I get lost.. But I don't know what he used to format slowly but it took half hour.. If you have tricks of what I should do.. a method to follow.. Could it be a defectuous PLC? Thanks for responding so quick

When I format the SD (HC) card, I disable the "Quick Formatting" option. As a file system I choose FAT32. Unfortunately, I can not say more to you. Didn't you have anyone in your circle of friends or neighbors who has a LOGO! to test the SD card there? Attachment Unbenannt.PNG (1094 Downloads)

Hello

According to most manufacturers (SanDisk, etc.), all memory cards come pre-formatted (and do not need to be formatted) with the following standards:

SD/microSD	2GB or lower	FAT16
SDHC/microSDHC	4GB to 32GB	FAT32
SDXC/microSDXC	64GB or higher	exFAT
CompactFlash	up to 128GB	FAT32
CompactFlash	256GB	exFAT

A method that I use to format an SD card in Windows and never had any problem, is with Disk Management.

LOGO! can only read a program from an SD card if the name is LOGO_U_P.BIN

To transfer a program to the SD card so LOGO! can read it follow the next steps.
Plugin the SD card to PC and in LSC select to save the program as (*.bin) and select the SD-card as the location.
Plug in the SD card to LOGO! and then transfer the program.

Or transfer the program to LOGO! and then copy the program to the plugged in SD card.

Only the topic creator doesthis not help further. He does not want to save a LOGO! Program on the SD card, but a LWE project. His LOGO! informs him that his SD card is unreadable. That he only needs to format the SD Card with FAT32 and may have a maximum size of 32GB, I have already written to him. Only this is interested. Not that a SDXC / microSDXC with 64GB or greater is pre-formatted with exFAT. This info does not help him in the topic. Edit: That his LOGO! detects that an SD card is plugged, can be recognized by the error message. If there were no SD card inserted, the following error message would be displayed when the diagnostics menu of SD Card is called: Diagnostics Micro SD card: Card detached

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	@erwan84, check Wikipedia (search: FAT32) and read the article. Here you get an explanaition what the problem is. For Linux and Mac there are different driver for formating cards. As you made (together with your friend) use windows PC to format the card (Win7: Fat32 Standard). However , if it still don't work, check: + if you plug in and remove the card switch LOGO! to STOP-Mode + Check if the MSD-card holder if it is pressed in is plan with the LOGO! housing. Some user press in the holder stronlgy and this may result in damadged pins on the holder inside. If this happen, then the holder is not plan with the LOGO! housing. + Insert the MSD.card right: If you look to the front of LOGO!, then the pins of the card must be on the top. Hope this helps
