As in the topic, Configuring TCP connection parameters, I'm experiencing this error 16#80B6,

and I start think it's an issue of compatibility within FB and parametrization structure.

I just updated the 1215 DC/DC/DC CPU to 4.1 firmware, but this didn't help

I tried to use TCON_IP_v4 but I get 16#809B error, even if the parameter value is correct.

Actually I use MB_SERVER (fb1085) V4.0

I read some information in the forum about declaring FB and TCON_Param DB globally, but It didn't help.

you need define your ID (CONN_OUC) to be between 1-4095. Your is 0 what is wrong.

As the description in the TIA-help says, the status can also come from internal used T-blocks.

To get information from which block this Status comes, have a look in the instance-DB of MB-server.

I guess it comes from TCON. The parameter ID has a valuation from W#16#0001 to W#16#0FFF. Your ID is W#16#0.

Yes, you are right, I forgoto to put back in place some try I did changing Struct of configuration and coming back to TCON_Param.

The problem doesn't seem to come from TCON... but from the MB_SERVER block itself?

Best way to generate TCON_IP_v4 data block, Insert the TCON block in one of the network. Go to the configuration part of TCON block and generate the connection DB. Once connection DB is generated then delete the TCON block and its instance DB. The same connection DB can be used for connect para  to MB Server block. Do the passive connection.

I tried also with TCON-.IP_v4 Again, but this is what I get.

I'm a bit frustrating because I can't figure out where is the problem, since TCON inside MB_SERVER seems not to be concerned.

In the online help for 1200, is specified that CONNECT input have to be referred to TCON_Param data type).

simply DJ recommended to you system what I had also find and implemented easy in my projects. Simply create TCON instruction, define needed parameters from GUI of Connection properties. Then use only that connection DB as reference to your Server. You simply don't need call TCON in your code, only disable it's REQ inputs. Little trick how easy configure connection.

Your suggestion solved my problem.

I did some little try and I found this:

-When following the procedure suggested, the TIA create a DB, if you check properties you can see is derived from TCON_IP_v4

-If I want to make a new DB, there is not choice to derive it from TCON_IP_v4, so I guess you can't make a DB brand new

-If I make a global DB and you declare a static variable decleared as TCON_IP_v4 and you fill correctly the parameters, it works.

-I can also make a static local variable of TCON_IP_v4 and it works equally.

So what trapped me it seems to be the interfaceid (I marked 65) that is 64.

I would like to ask a question.. in the hardware configuration, X1 is marked as ID=65, so maybe I didnt undertand what hardwareid is referring in TCON?

 hi,

HW-ID 64 is for the profinet-interface at all. port_1 has 65, and port_2 has 66

You find this in properties of the Profinet interface > system constants.
