We have Computer with CP5612 A2 card and the computer is installed with Step 7 and Protool. The PG/PC setting of the simatic manager shows the CP5611A2 as CP5611. Initinally it was giving Synchronisation error. But onreinstalling Step 7it is giving an error on testing the PG/PC interface 0x0382 Interal driver information (L2) not found. The hardware test gives some %2 bs and stops there. What should I do now, reinstall the programs in th computer (Step 7 and Protool) or is ther any other way.

The Cable is fine and the complete program is workign from a Simatic programmer unit.

I do not know... but are you willing to check the Regestry? If so please check what L2 Driver is set for the CP 5611 in the Log / Def Devices in SIMATIC NET. Would you post what you have there?

 I have this same error, swap hd from a panelview to another....it is running Wincc runtime but dont have the installation disk...I have change the CP5611 card already...need urgent help !!!

I have running WinCC Flexible Runtime 2007 on Windows XP, the card looks setup correctly in Device Manager but when I try to run diagnostics I get this error 0x0382 Internal driver information (L2) not found...I have already change to another PCI port

I think the S7 Dos Drivers of the WinCC flexible 2007 Software ist to old.

In the Technical Data of the CP5611A2 you can see that you need Simatic Net V8.2.

There are newer Drivers also in current Step7 or WinCC Flexible RT 2008 Sp3 Upd5.

I dont know exactly but i would say Drivers are to old.
