Something strange with the tag names

sutasu Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	When I'm trying to set some message and acknowledgement tags in Alarm Logging manager, after I pick the actual tag name from my Tag control, itplacesthe name of the tags that were deleted long ago to the cells. I wonder what it could be..

Are you sure that you are not getting data from the server data package ? So in the Tag Browser window, go to the top level of the tree, select WinCC Tags and then find your tag. Also what version do youhave?

sutasu Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	You see, all configurations are made locally on parent project/WinCC machine. Tag Browser DO show the correct tag names, but after makinga choice, some other - phantom - tag names appear in Alarm Logging Configurator. Maybe tag names are cached somewhere, and that cache didn't get purified properly? Once again, the version is 6.0 SP2. I understand the importance of upgrading, but surely it will take some time to SP4 package to come here. :)

Does it happen to all alarms, or just a few? I have never heard of this before aswell, but hopefully we can find you a solution. With regards, Ikkezelf

sutasu Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Those are analog alarms. Sometimes it picks an actual tag name, and sometimes - a phantom one. I'll try deleting the server packages, thank you.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	If deleting and re-creating the server package didn't help it really does look like a bug with SP2. Can't you check with your local salesperson if there is a chance you could get SP4 faster? And before upgrading always remember to check the compatibility.
