"Sorry, we can't load the addin." error with the report excel plugin. (TIA V17)

I see that you have already tried different ways to try to fix it. In my experience, I have seen that this type of error or error message can appear if the following installation sequence has been performed:

WinCC Unified -> WinCC Unified Updates -> Reporting.

A new installation with the following sequence corrects the behavior, then the error message does not appear anymore:

WinCC Unified -> Reporting -> WinCC Unified Updates

I do not know if you performed the installation this way. Let me know and I will try to find possible alternatives.

One question, what version of Excel do you have?

I installed Unified, Reporting plugin and updates after those, in that order. I don't think it's the problem. Although, before I downloaded reporting V3 I had reporting V2, which didn't work either.

My excel version is the latest out there.

Can I please ask you some more questions about your system set up? Is this PC an IT managed PC, and do you have administrator rights? If you do not have administrator rights for example, you may see this message as Trusted Add-in Catalogs are not allowed.

Could you please try it with the Online version of Office Excel, as this should also work.

You can also try updating to the latest version of TIA V17; the latest update is update 5. I will link the downloads below. “Updates for STEP 7 V17, S7-PLCSIM V17 and WinCC V17”

You may also need the latest version of the Reporting Excel Add-in which you can download with the corresponding WinCC V17 updates. I will also link that below. “Updates for SIMATIC WinCC Unified PC V17”

For example, for WinCC V17 Update 5 there should be a download link for the reporting tool under the note: "Download of the Enhancement for the Reporting Excel Addin corresponding to Update 5:"
