Spindle waiting for gear change

Menu Select + Diagnosis + Service Display + Service Axis

Axis+/- until you are looking at the spindle that is holding you up (You may wish to verify all axes as well...Sometimes the plc program is interesting.)

There are3 lines of interest.

Actual Gear Stage
Gear Stage Requested

Actual parameter set - parameter set may be switched as well, good to notice. May not help with troubleshooting of gearchange issue. May be involved with the plc logic for gearchange.

If the gear stage requested and actual are the same, the gear change is probably done. There may be some reason why the builder program did not let the machine run yet. Maybe timing was not good, maybe some reason only they can help with?

Plc programs often monitor db (axis).dbx82.3 IS change gear! for when to go do a gear change, and when they have done it they tell the nc they have finished with db31+(axis).dbx16.3. There are some timing diagrams in doconcd, however if the gear change worked before and does not work now, I suspect that the actual and requested gears do not match, even though you believe the gearchange is done.
