SSP Sinamics G120 V4.7 hanging up on install

turkeybusta Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I am trying to install SSP Sinamics G120 V4.7 on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I am administrator on the PC. I executed the install by running as administrator. I purchased the DVD for Starter. I also downloaded the files from the Siemens website. Both files end with the same result. Itshows the progress bar with "This process takes several minutes to complete". I have stopped the install and uninstalled/reinstalled. I have ran logged into my PC through my domain account as well as local to the PC. I have tried on another PC. I tried only installing neccessary files and help with plans on installingSSP Sinamics G120 V4.7 after the others installed successfully. This time it hung on the G120V4.7 Help. I have been told it takes a while, but I waited longer than 4 hours at this step today before I cancelled. It doesn't ever error out with a message, just keeps ticking the progress bar. I also turned off the index function under Control Panel for S7. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Under ProgramData/siemens/automation/Logfiles/setup the setup logfiles are stored: Install_SSP_G120_....... mkcfgdb.bat_log.txt Have you deactivate the antivirus SW on the computer? Zip it and then attach it here. And check the Trend Micro Office Settings that the path /Program Files (x86)/Siemens and all subdirectorys is excluded from the Real Time Scan. Regards Christoph

At the point of SSP SINAMICS G120 HELP v4.7 the installation does not end ("Configuration files are being created..." window with process bar running all time). How did you solve the problem? turkeybusta Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I never solved this on the PC that I was using trying to install it in my base OS. I was able to get it to install on other PCs in my plant with the same basic image. I used a VM Image with Windows 7. One of my colleagues had an issue getting it to install as well. The common software on our PCs is the Rockwell Automation software(lots). The PCs where it installed fine did not have any Rockwell stuff.
