ST7cc v2.7 Communication driver problem with WinCC 6.0 SP4

rafmg Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Hi, i have installed st7cc after installation of WinCC 6.0 SP4. When i try to generate wincc variables then generation log shows: "Logical Connection 'SynautSytem could not be created in WinCC. ST7cc channel DLL not created? WinCC error code 0x1C 0x80046211 'Don't exist' " I've tried also to add manually ST7 communication driver in WinCC Tag Management (st7.chn) but appear a message saying that is necessary to install ST7 communication driver. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Raffaele, I wonder, do you still have SIMATIC NET installed at your PC? I sounds really strange what you say about the installation. The requirement to run ST7cc is that you have to have SIMATIC NET Edition 2006 or later AND WinCC V 6.0 SP4 running at your PC. If you do not have SIMATIC anymore this could be an issue. Also it is needed to reinstall ST7cc if you updated the WinCC version to this version and you had ST7cc preinstalled. I fear if both is not the case it might be necessary to reinstall the complete PC. Best regards J_Bell

rafmg Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	no, i have installed SIMATIC NET 2005 HF1 as you can read in WinCC compatibility matrix. it is strange: i have read in st7cc pdf manual (page 18) about Simatic net 2006 but at page 31 of the same manual you can read : "Step 8: Select the products you want to install. Activate the options SIMATIC NET PC Software V6.x... and SIMATIC NCM PC/S7 V5.3+SP2." Well, simatic net 2005 hf1 is the version 6.3. It is not clear the right version... Have you ever tried to configure your ST7cc Chanel just simple on a new, small project you create from scratch? If this also do not fix the issue I would reinstall the complete PC because than something went totally wrong. If it works out I fear your Project has a problem, than you may have to establish a new project and you move everything from one project to the other. Best regards J_Bell

rafmg Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	I have already done all you have suggested. I think that there is an installation problem and is necessary to do something manually such as dll registration (st7.chn). I have called hotline for support but after one week i have no answer. Another issue is a system error in configuring tool (see aatachment) which in some conditions crash. I have re-installed all the SW in different order without success. I installed all the licenses keys. I configured the same sw with a test projec successfully using wincc 6.2, windows 2003 server R2 and ST7cc 2.7 without issue and crashes. Thanks. Attachment error.JPG (297 Downloads)
