- TIA Version : V13 wincc professional

- Service pack and update :SP1 Update9

- Hardware: windows PC

- The desired application : i want to start and stop the system data logging by external tag.

- The Problem: there is no start and stop logging functions in the wincc professional (like Start/Stop logging in the Wincc Advanced).Now in the Wiccprofessional i should define a tag trigger for each variable independently. and it works just when the aquesition mode is Selective cyclic and i don't want that.

how i can centraly start and stop the archiving ?

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/25/2025 Posts: 15355 Rating: (1895)	Hello OpisOm Im Sorry but the Loggin System is a totally different one in WinCC Professional you cannot compare it with the simple logging engine in WinCC Advanced. You cannot stop and Run the Taglogging in Runtime. also with ODK its not possible because the Settings you could do in the Runtime Settings, if you want to start the logging or not is a global one and you have to deactivate and activate the Runtime again. I nWinCC Professional or WinCC V7.X you have to go different ways than in Advaced. The right solution you have already found. Bye Murof
