Start Simatic PC Station in service mode

MPVilao Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, I’m trying to start an application that uses OPC server (S7 protocol) as a windows service. My problem is that the PC station seams to start only after my first windows login. So, how can i use OPC server in service mode? If I logoff windows, the service “SIMATIC NET Core Server S7” also stops. Can someone help me with that?

robromano Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi All, I have the same problem MPVilao mentioned. If I leave the windows interactive session opened and logged, the OPC Server works perfectly. When I logoff the interactive session, the PC Station goes down, and consequently my applications immediatly go down. Please, could someone help me to solve this ? Thank you !!!

MPVilao Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I already got the solution. You should change your DCOM Settings for OPC.SimaticNET. Use identify with "this user" instead of interactive user. Your Service should start up with the same user. To do that, change the properties of your service startup user. Another thing that you should take care is that your service is started in manual and added to the configuration console startup definitions. The attached screen shots should help you.
