Nitin Parmar Advanced Member Joined: 9/23/2013 Last visit: 10/11/2024 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Dear experts, I had downloaded STARTER 4.3.3.0 from site.Its installed successfully but when i try to use trace function on G120 drive it shows unspecified error and same STARTER use for S120 drive to check it shows traces.It works on S120 but not on G120.I dont no what is wrong with me.Give me some ideas. thanx.

UMENCHO Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 10/7/2024 Posts: 10229 Rating: (1181)	Dhruva ...Hi, which G120 CU YOU ARE USING TRACE FUNCTION IS VALID IN CU240 E-2 DP The Trace function is supported with SINAMICS CU 240x-2 and Firmware of V4.4 and STARTER V4.2. the STARTER function can be selected; however, this is not supported, i.e. no data is traced. Shahide043 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	Hi, All the control units of sinamics G-120 does not support trace function. Hence the limitation lies in the hardware (CU) and not in the software (starter).

With the Hotfix 1 for STARTER V4.3 SP3, the following restriction is eliminated: Restriction regarding the STARTER trace function with SINAMICS G120 drives and a drive firmware version that is lower than Version V4.6. Also see description.

But try to take on V4.4.It gives error.Which is mention above.what is the reason behing it.Bcuz it is possible in V4.4.That is sure. Thanx

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 10/11/2024 Posts: 5911 Rating: (809)	Hello, In the Hotfix 1 for the STARTER V4.3 SP3, the following restrictions has been corrected: Restriction regarding the STARTER trace function with SINAMICS G120 drives and a drive firmware version that is lower than Version V4.6 If the trace function is started on a SINAMICS G120 Control Unit with Starter V4.3 SP3, an error message is output. The trace function cannot be started with the STARTER. This STARTER behavior occurs on G120 Control Units with a firmware version lower than Version V4.6.x (e.g. V4.5.x, V4.4.x). Hotfix 1 for SINAMICS MICROMASTER STARTER V4.3 SP3. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26233208
