Step 7 Rewire with Datablock

jackr Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi again, Does anybody know a way to use the Step 7 "Rewire" function with datablocks. I only seems to work with I/O and memory data. Basically I want to move a bunch of digital inputs from real-world I/O to a DB and I don't want to have to go to the cross-reference and access every single instance. The reason for this is that we are moving from an HMI that acted like a Profibus station to WinCC. Thanks. jack

You may make a ASCII source by doing the next, open the editor by doubleclicking on a DB that you want to convert to a source. Then go to the menupoint "File" --> "Generate Source...", chose a objectname and "ok", now you may chose which blocks you want to convert. Give in the blocks and after that you have a ASCII-file that can be exportet to Excel. See the document to get some more information. Attachment Work with Sources.pdf (368 Downloads)

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Member Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 5/26/2023 Posts: 4184 Rating: (1342)	Hi, I suggeset you try to work symbolicklly: 1 - use just simbolic acess to your variables in the PLC logic. 2 -go to theblocks folder / properties / adress priority and set it to "for all acess" 3 - change the variables position in your DB. 4 - open the blocks and check if they are ok.
