nadeem Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	Hi i have the problem of installing the setup of of S7-300 when started the setup,and starting the SIMATIC NET SNPB COMP SET UP AND registering application up to 87%, it hanged and give the message that "an external setup process has not respond for along time, it is recommanded to wait longer, do u want to continue--- yes, no" What is this problem??? At least please provide with the folowing info: 1. What version of Step-7 you trie to install ? 2. What is the operating system ? 3. Are there other Siemens software installed ? 4. Is this "clean" install of operating system ? After that we can see what we can do

You didn't told me exact version of your operating system (with service packs), so check by yourself if you have correct operating system for your Step-7 version. Your operating system should be Windows XP Proffesional SP2 32-bit. Note that it will not work on 64-bit. nadeem Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	Hi-Darius i have the window professional service pack-2,32-bit envoirment system. I solved the problem,deactivated the firewall and install in another drive except C, it is O.k ,thank u very much forur prompt response thank and regards Nadeem
