Step 7 to S7319 communcation by internet

YP1951 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello every one, I want to use step 7 to progaram a remote S7319 plc through the internet. the remote plc is connected to local PLC & HMI TCPIP network. An ADSL Router is connected to the nerwork. I will appreciate very much one who will explain me how to cofigure the PLC,adsl router and the Step7 so i can program the remote PLC form my office.

Sydney Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2008 Last visit: 1/4/2025 Posts: 703 Rating: (96)	Hello, here is a possible solution: Public permanent IP address (without any port blocking, IPSec enabled) connected to WAN interface of the router which is configured as a transparent bridge (VPN). The LAN IP address of the router is used as a default gateway in the network configuration of your PLCs and PCs on site. In Step7 you choose PG/PC interface as your network card, then establish a VPN tunel and that's all. You can connect to PLCs directly from Step7 and for PCs is possible to configure remote desktop (for example VNC or something like it) for easy work. Regards Sydney
