Step5 online - 1043 Block not processed error

Orbital_Ole Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi First I have very little experience with the S5 and what I mention here is all by memory as I'm not at the plant right now. I have a 6ES5 734-1BD20 cable to connect to a CPU 102. I have no problem in going online with the CPU and transfer the program from the PLC to my Laptop. Then I goto Test/Block status... for trying to see status of the running PB001 block. There I get the error 1043 Block not processed, if I try status on other blocks like OB001, PB002 etc. I also get the 1043 error. If I instead goto Test/Status variable I have no problem in seeing status variables. Any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong??

Please look in the handbook of the S5-100U for further information. Handbook S5-100U: 1091978 6ES5998-0UB23 S5-100U Programmable Controller E04 See the pages 4-5 en 4-6 for more information

Late It could be that the CPU102 is in the fast mode, then it works 10 times as fast as normal.... It seems that you are right, when I look in the Istack there is no 'X' at the KEINAS which means it is 0 and therefor in Normal mode. Here is a dumb question: If I go to BLOCK/TRANSFER/PLC - FILE and mark ALL BLOCKS then I should get a full copy of what is running in the PLC today? I want to make a backup before trying anything with the PLC -- O

Blocks-Trasfer-PLC-PG all OK 2. Block not processed is also display when you have a FBXX and if it is not called in OB1 or call condition is not true.

I know but as you can see in my original question it also shows up when I'm online on OB1, but as the machine is running as it shall I guess OB1 is called! -- O

We have changed alsmost 10-11 102 cpu with 103 as lot of diagnostics problems. Some problems are not answered by siemens also but it is all before 8 years agonow no more 103 CPU also.

As I understand it the 'fast mode' is related to memory submodules but how will the CPU react if I remove the module and bring it back in Run?? Will it then go into normal mode??
