Step7 Basic crashes when comunicating with PLC

Redbullmick Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Anybody have the problem that as soon as the PLC is recognised by TIA it crashes? Step7 Basic SP2 Update2 Windows XP Pro SP3 Cannot download direct either same thing happens, it used to work fine then stopped on one laptop. The only changes to the laptop was loding Weintek EB8000 and Proface GP Pro-ex. The windows install was a clean one when TIA was loaded. I use Kapersky total protection which is always disabled when working. Works fine on other laptops that only run Siemens products. Tried uninstall and re-install 3 times. Thanks in advance

Redbullmick Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the replies. The first thing I did was to remove EB8000 and GPpro-ex. My personal beleif is it may be something to do with SQL Server as GPpro uses this as well, I need to speak to Proface but it is always hard to solve a problem between 2 companies.
