STEP7 HF7 ???

S.S.D.D. Posts: 67 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I am trying to install Siemens Powerrate 2.0 on a machine that has PCS7 V6.1 SP1 installed. An error comes up saying I do not have STEP7 V K5.3.2.7 installed onthe machine. This is correct because I have STEP7 V K5.3.2.2 installed on the machine. This was the standard installation off of the CD, and I am assuming that the (.2 --> .7) is a HF number. Is there a HF7 for STEP 7 V5.3? I cannot find it on the site. This is interesting because the installation "readme" states that is can be installed on PCS7 V6.1 SP 1 and SP2. It makes no mention of special HF revision levels and I could see this being a common issue. Thanks. Attachment PowerRate Error Mesg.JPG (286 Downloads)

S.S.D.D. Posts: 67 Rating: (0)	Installing SP3 is my fall out plan right now. I am not sure how SP3 will effect a system with SP2 running on it right now. I'm not in a position to gamble with it and there is not alot of documentation explaining the 'in detail' differences between SP2 and SP3. Attachment PowerRate Req Software.JPG (263 Downloads)

Where does HF7 come from??? Maybe this should be included in the software folder if its a critical item that isn't normally installed.

To answer your question where you can get the HFs... The only way to get a Hotfix is to contact the Simatic Hotline because only Servicepacks are published in the internet for download. You can open a Support Request and it should be no problem to get the HF7 if you tell the supporter that you only need this HF to install your Software. Cumu
