Stepper drives are connected to DQ module

I want to control 4 stepper drives, which are connected to the ET200SP Digital output. 1. Is it possible in this situation to use technology objective for controlling the stepper drives or it's necessary to be connected directly to CPU digital output(Q0.0 - Q1.1) for using technology objective? 2. How can I control them without using technology objective in the case that they are connected to DQ? Thank you in advance.

How can I control them without using technology objective in the case that they are connected to DQ? You have to write a Functionblock, to control the stepper drive.
