henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Hi, We have been experiencing problems with our HMI and buttons sticking. Basically, on the odd occasion when the operator presses the button (to send a '1' to the tag when the button is pressed, and a '0' when the button is depressed), the tag state does not return to '0'. Because of this, the PLC program has to be accesssed and right click on the input and select 'modify to 0'. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there any way to resolve the issue? Here is what sometimes happens when you set a tag on PressLeft and reset the tag on ReleaseLeft: Sometimes an operator will press the left mouse button, then move the cursor off the object, then release the mouse button. If the mouse cursor is not over the object when the mouse is released, then the "Release Left" event will not be triggered. Please test out if this is what is happening. The solution is to instruct the operator to keep the mouse over the object when releasing it.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi henno, Zee really does have a point... anotyer thing you could do to avoid this kind of problem is reset the bits on the PLC. This would ensure that the bit would be set and reset properly, without the chance of operating errors. Best regards, Danielle

Danielle, by resetting the bit to zero, do you mean that after the tag has been activated, possibly activate a timer for 1 second, then after that time period has elasped, send a value of zero back to that tag as well as/instead of using the SetTagBit to '0' on the release mouse click? henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the info. Reading into the help, it does not make sense. Could someone please explain? (I would expect the second value to represent a time value, or a logic bit (IE - 1 or 0)) Or is there a default value for the SetTagBitWait function? Regards, henno2000
