Netra Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello I am using ET200S IM 151-8 PN/DP cpu.I was facing problem during downloading program.So I did MEMRES without inserting MMC.Then I realised & inserted MMC into PLC. Now I can establish connection with PLC on ethernet & download program but PLC is in continuous stop mode. In diagnostic buffer it says: Stop caused by I/O error No relevance for user (Z1): 0000 No relevance for user (Z2): 0050 (Z3): 4555 Previous operating mode: STOP (internal) Requested operating mode: STOP (internal) External error, Incoming event The Event is 4X4D. I have made a setup of one SMPS(sitop 5A),ET200S cpu,DP Master & Power module & one HMI(OP177B) 24V supply to PLC,Power module & HMI is from 1 SMPS only. Please help me to solve this problem.PLC is not going in run mode at all. Thanks, Netra.

(It is part of IM151-8 CPU) (Small module 5mm) And have you tried to put CPU in Run, without using the DP-master module? (One thing you can have a look at: Is connection between CPU and DP-master module correct? Check the pins , they might be together) Best regards, Wizard

Netra Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello Thanks for your valuable reply.You r right.I had forgotten to use that 'terminating module'. In Help event the suggession remedy was to check defective module & to remove defective module.Everything was OK but the termination was missing. Thanks once again.The problem is solved.Now I can test my programme.

I hav put up Terminating module properly but still CPU is going to STOP mode and showing the same entry described in this thread, Can anyone help, ??? Regards, Abhijit

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 6/5/2023 Posts: 2966 Rating: (1025)	Hello ABHIJIT PUNE Wizardalready mentioned that the problem can also be caused by "bent pins" on the ET200S backplane so here's what I suggest you do: Carefully disassemble the ET200S station and check the backplane connectors of every module as well as the shield plates around them for straightness. Should you find any bent ones, try to straighten them carefully (or replace the terminal or Profibus module if in doubt) andcarefully assemble the station again. I've had a couple of ET200S stations in my life whith this fault which was caused by soemone being a bit to rough when assembling the ET200S on the DIN rail. I hope this helps and please let us know what you find.
