Store a real or dint data in a array of bytes

I think in something like this: REAL (32 bits): B0 (bits 0 -7); BYTE1 (bits 8-15); BYTE2 (bits 16-23); BYTE3 (bits 24-31). User_Data[0] <- B0 Real User_Data[1] <- B1 Real User_Data[2] <- B2 Real User_Data[3] <- B3 Real Thnk you very much Antonio Molina from Spain.

Create your array of 4 bytes or 4 short ints or whatever works best. Put your data into the bytes in integer format. Access all four bytes by using the DB name, and the offset information. DBB0 = Byte 0 DBB1 = Byte 1 DBB2 = Byte 2 DBB3 = Byte 3 DBD0 = Bytes 0-3 in word format CONVert DBD0 from DINT to REAL If DB is DB1, then 4 bytes at offset 0 are addressed as DB1.DBD0 Hope this is what you were asking. What have you tried so far?

amolina Member Joined: 11/30/2010 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have the database like this: Data_Real1 [Real] Data_Real2 [Real] DB3 Offset 0: User_Data Array [0 .. 7] of byte (I don´t use a simbolic addressing) I use the MOVE instruction: IN: Data_Real1; OUT: DB3.DB0 but OUT display that actual data String is not available. Sorry, I don't know how do it with your information.What instruction I have to use? Thanks!

FreakOnALeash Posts: 267 Rating: (24)	Hello, I think there isn't any possibility to manage this. I know that you cansplit data typs by the open communication blocks. But this won't help you because you have to transferit to another cpu.
