Strange behavior after tare

stan.k Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm having a Siwarex module that was programmed by some guy before (the same application), and it was working good.Now my job is to make a new PLC software and i have a problem. Can someone tell me, why after TARE there are strange (0/max) values readed from SiwarexU? It looks like this: 0kg....max...0...max.... totally randomly. But after putting some additional weight all seems to be OK. Problem is only after Tare, before taking more weight. Regards

ABenno Posts: 206 Rating: (22)	Hi Kostan, you have to be aware that the weight value of the Siwarex U is in INT format. If youlook atthe binary image of the weight valueyou will see"0000000000000000" = 0dez and "1111111111111111" = -1dez. If you interpret the value not as INT but as WORD you might see the value switching between 0 and 65535. If you want to convert the weight value into a REAL value this can be a problem, if you only use the DTR (Double Integer to Floting-Point-Number) command.Then you have the above effect. The right way to convert the weight into a REAL value is to use first the ITD(Integer (16bit) to Double Integer(32bit) command and then the DTR command. Regards ABenno

stan.k Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello ABenno, I'm only writting values readed from Siwarex (for example: s_ACTUAL_VALUES_.CH1.i_GROSS_CH1, INT) into a DINT with MOVE cmd. And that's all. Is that may cause problem? And do I have to set Limits? The manual is not clear for me in that case... PS Maybe that could be important information... Tare I mean "Zeroing" from the example (move 3 to i_CMD2_CODE and then trigger). Is that correct?
