Strange problem with TC35 modem

Beep-A Posts: 90 Rating: (1)	Hello people! We installed a simple telemetry system with 2 Siemens TC35 modems, 5 years ago. One modem is connected to the S7-300 PLC (CP340) and the second is connected to a PC system with custom made SCADA application. The systems are exchanging data through data-call. The system worked fine until now. The customer noticed some strange behavior on the modem connected to the PC. After initialization the modem is working fine and the communication is established by the PC-program, but after some time (cca. 15min) the orange LED is activated on the modem (is not yellow like in normal operation) for 3-4 sec and then the LED turns off and there are no more periodical blinking of the yellow LED like in normal operation. Then when the program want to make a data call, the yellow LED with fast blinking appears again! The problem is that then there is not entered the PIN. What would be the cause of this behavior? Any ideas? What is the replacement for TC35 since this modem is not in the production? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Beep

simppa80 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi! Have you solved that problem? I just buy TC35 and have already S7-300 with CP340 V.24. I would be VERY thankful if you could help me with making program to send/Receive SMS from/to PLC. Or if you have whole code for that would be greatest thing to me..

S44 Posts: 123 Rating: (4)	Hi beep-a you can still find this tc35 from many places, ok online. otherwise you can use the TC65 or with quadband capability. the MC52 BR

S44 Posts: 123 Rating: (4)	hello, you can try with another sim card, make sure that you disable the pin code before, or change settings in you program just to not lock the card. BR
