string to time_t for use in difftime

ee09140 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	good morning, the problem is, I make an IOField that the user inserts a date,and with a script in C get the value in a format of string, how can i use the function difftime with strings four obtain the difference between two dates??if the string is not in the format time_t or struct tm,whocaniinsertthestringintoonevariabletypetime_t? thaks four your attention...
