I'm using mb_client to write the strings to the other device. This other device has text registers big enough for 60char (30 words). As I understand, the mb_client function has a buffer area (mb_data_ptr) can only accepts bits, words or double words. I can't use arrays of bytes right? I'm using the string_to_char functions and it divides the string and puts the chars in a array of 60bytes. This works fine. I'm trying to find a quick way to move 2 bytes into a word. I found a way using absolute adresses but I don't want to program over 300 moves... I thought of doing loops with pointers but I can't find a way to add the pointer value to a absolute adress... DB74.DBW[index] ??? This is so simple but I can't find a way... lol

So I should be fine using my array of bytes?

So I should be fine using my array of bytes? Yes, and with a single write you can send all 300 bytes if your remote device can accept and process it as a single entity. P#DBn.DBX0.0 BYTE 300 is the variant where n is the DB #. You have to type it. This does not show up in any picklist.
