structure in data block

Swagato Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	dear all, i am not understanding the basic of "structure" used in data block. when structure should be used. what is the meaning of the address with "+" in data block. In the declaration view data type is shown in "structure" format but in the data view addresses are shown in normal format. what is the reason behind this. one another thing , I dont find any search option in this forum. can anyone help me please. thanks swagata Attachment shared db2.JPG (872 Downloads)

Offset is how far is this variable from beginning of DB which sarts from 0.0. Your first variable "Entry Temp" starts from offset 0.0 and scond variable "Franc" starts from 2.0, from this you can make out that your first variable is 2 bytes long. Similarly your variable "Req" starts with offset 0.1 from the beginning of structure "Franc". So the address of this variable in DB would be 2.1, which you can see in Data View.Same goes with other variable inside this structure. Finally any variable which will come after "Franc" will start from 4.0 which denoted by "=4.0" See the attached file to locate the Search option ! The forum is developed for the two most used browsers (IE and Firefox). And because of that it is possible that with other browser there could be some problems. Best regards O_Moderator
