subnet issue during S&B gateway connection

mikellass Posts: 115 Rating: (4)	Hello, I'm having issues during the connection of my Sieb and Meyer gateway. i set the IP address of the gateway but when I try to connect via profinet, TIA PORTAL shows this error. comx100repns, comx100repns, comx100repns: The network part of the address of interface IE1 was not adjusted, because more than one logical IP subnet exists.,1/11/2019,12:51:07 PM any thoughts about this?

mikellass Posts: 115 Rating: (4)	For sure! i'm using tia portal V13. I'm trying to configurate a S1500 PLC with a sinamics s120 module and as well a Sieb and meyer inverter through the gateway. The PLC and Sinamics S120 module are running and this Sieb and Meyer part is a new add for this system. The Ip for the PLC is 192.168.214.241 and the Ip that I set for the Sieb and meyer model 0362157 gateway is 192.168.214.50. Both they have 255.255.255.0 subnet mask. Attached network topology image. I cant make it because of that warning that appears when I try to connect the gateway to the only one ethernet connection in all my devices. if you need more information i would try to give you Attachment Captura.JPG (388 Downloads)

Do not use it unless your project requires it. The PLC will enforce the connections from port to port exactly as you set them up. That said, the prior poster is right to ask about using the 2nd port of the PLC. If that s7-1500 PLC has 2 profinet network adapters, they are not allowed to be on the same subnet. If a single profinet adapter has a 2-jack switch built in, then yes, you can use both ports. If you hover over the jacks, they tell you which connection (X1/X2) and which port (P1/P2). What you can do is use X1/P1 and X1/P2. However, you cannot use X1/P1 and X2/P1 the way you have stated for the new drive's IP address. mikellass For sure! i'm using tia portal V13. mikellass Posts: 115 Rating: (4)	Hello experts, Thanks for your help, both ports are connected to the same network. I have checked the physical connections and i have, S1500 X1/P1 connected to my laptop X1/P2 connected to sinamics s120 2PN x150.P2 and the gateway is connected to X150.P1 So, as far as i can see, the devices are connected well but i cant create a link between sinamic s120 and the gateway because of the subnet. Also, ive checked the IP adresses: PLC: 192.168.214.241 S120: 192.168.214.1 Gateway: 192.168.214.50 attached topology view screenshot there is something wrong here but I can't see it. Any thoughts?
