suddenly..no license Key recognized on TIA V11 update 5 (SOLVED)

Lamboom Posts: 90 Rating: (0)	The horror! For no apparent reason, I no longer have a license key for basic V11 .. sniff. It worked great about a week ago. I have "System Manager" which likes to get me to turn off all unessary start-up programs .. I think I turned off something related to auto license manager .. then when I got the notice "no license key" when I tried to run the TIA, I went back and turned on all programs that were turned off.. (now have 33 start-up programs .. sigh!) Anyway.. that didn't help. look at what I got for pop up windows from Siemens: (see attachment) Tried to run Auto license manager.. couldn't do that either..it said "the auto License manager service hasn't been started" ... DUH! what does that mean.. how does one do that. Any clues out there on how to fix this?... Thanks, Regards, Michael Attachment TIA software on XP no license key.jpg (97 Downloads)

Also, you can choose option "startup automatically". After you start the service, try to run automation license manager once again and the check if your license is present in the system. Hope it helps.
	Last edited by: olloy at: 10/17/2014 11:07 AM Yup, general suggestion: avoid to install any unnecessary software together with Siemens. Use any other machine or virtualisation instead. Siemens products likes "clean system"

I'm tryin to install V13 on a Windows 7 machine .. no idea how to use the USB memory stick that came with the software ... there were no instrustions on how to install the license key. When the install software asked for the key, i plugged in the stick, and clicked on some button which seemed appropriate .. key wasn't accepted.. so, I clicked on "install key later" And once again ... there is no information anywhere in the read-me files, or on the Siemens site as to how to simply install a license key for V13... sigh! I'll start another thread. Thanks again
