I am new here, I have similar request.

My application consist of reading data sent by RFID scanner, a motor and few (3 to 4) switches. Please suggest me suitable low cost PLC which can be communicated to RFID reader.

Could you tell us more about the specific RFID scanner you plan to use?

More specifically, how will it connect with the CPU? A fieldbus (Profinet, Prrfibus), Modbus (TCP, RTU,, ASCII) USB..?

cheap to buy or do you want a system that works for many years with no or minimum of maintenance cost ?

Hi RusPro,

Can you please suggest whether the RFID supports TCP/IP or not!

If the TCP/IP protocol is common for all of them then you can go with 1214C CPU along with a managed Scalance for Routing the RFID in a particular Data mode.
