Your description implies usecases from a Raspi with a camera (rather unliekely I guess ) all the way to the complete monitoring and logging of the process data of your machines...

Hi,

as you have different vendors for your control systems, you should look for a SCADA system which is able to connect and communicate with all of them. There is a wonderful system called mySCADA which is really simple to set up, can talk with most of the control systems natively and has really nice tools for data collection and analysis. Check it out here mySCADA

I have used it several times, and after the experience with mySCADA  I would not go back to WinCC, it is in all aspects better.

this is only half of complete work. The hardest part is configure relevant interfaces to existing PLC systems with of course configuration and reprogramming which isn't easy to do in most of cases. Programmer on PLCs sides is step to realy hard work with big problems expected, for most with no compatibility due existing old systems, no possible program and convert/update to new system. Be carefuly generaly select right product, select good solution.

There are 02 options for opting the solution:

1. Either you choose universal SCADA packages like WinCC, IFix, CimpliCity, etc. type of packages & get the type of interfacing in TCP/IP or IE. If TCP/IP option is not available then try for ProfiBus, ModBus, etc. common Universal Protocols & convert them to TCP/IP.

2. Or you get one compatible OPC & communicate all the equipments in the Server Room.
