Supervision with S5-95U

lolo1234 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Hello, My company wants me to choose a software to be able to do the supervision of her système. She owns a S7-300 and... an S5-95U . I would like to know which software can work with an S5-95U. And if it happens to be a free software it is even better . Thanks.

Hello lolo1234 I am assuming with 'supervision' you mean that you want to go "online" to monitor and or change the PLC Program. Officially, there are no free Software programs that can do that. For the S7 300, I would sugest to get Step 7 V5.5 or the new TIA Portal V13 For the 95U you need the latest Version of Step 5 Please contact you Siemens Rep.

lolo1234 Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Sorry if I was'nt clear by saying 'supervision' (this word is used in french I thought it would have been in english too ). By saying that I meant that I am looking for a software as PCvue which can control the machines and show the problems on the line, which can work with an S5-95U and which was not too expensive . I dont need a software which offers a lot of possiblilities just the control and the image of the line. Well I hope I was clear this time let me know otherwise. Thank you

For S5 95U - You would need a Serial Port in the PC with RS232 to TTY COnvertor with cable For S7-300 - You would need a USB PC Adaptor - 6GK1571-0BA00-0AA0 Hope this Helps Cheers Navnag
