We have an issue with excessive data archiving. Looking in the archive database we see entries with an identical value e.g.,

Val1 = 7.2121212121

Val2 = 7.2121212121

Val3 = 7.2121212121

One such float value has been configured for archiving with the following parameters values set:

Compression Activated = true

TMin = 1000

TMax = 5000

Deviation absolute /in % = in percent

Deviation Value = 2

LowLimt = 0

HightLimit = 0

Reading through the help files I'm struggling to understand the purpose of the High and Low  Limit parameters. So my question is what are these parameters used for and could they be causing my problem?

Yes, more information would have been nice. The volunteers are not clairvoyants.

The only thing I somhow found via backwards google search is a WinCC function. Maybe you are talking about this. If yes, there is also a WinCC subforum, maybe it would have been easier.
