Yes I did, I am using TIA selection tool. using the second example from my table, I want 8 electrical ports and 2 fibre optic ones and filtering the electrical standard to RJ 45 as seen in the uploaded picture. and the tool is suggesting the switch (attached second picture) but this switch has only 6 and not 8 RJ 45 ports and the rest are RJ11 showing from the industry mall, the technical specs in the industry mall have no mention of RJ45 ports as well. selected switch by the tool : 6GK5324-0GG00-1AR2 industry mall link : https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/pd/329976?pdti=td&lc=en-WW |

Hello, this picture is not your configured Switch ! The Order Number only the Base unit without any module. Now you can plug a lot of modules in this Base Unit so that the layout is very individual. click on "Create Device" in you screen and then you can configure the module bays . Regards Christoph |

oh you're right!! I just did not go this 1 step further of customizing it, I thought it would generate the end product by itself!! Thank you so much. one question remaining for the up and down for fiber optic, it seems there are no seperate modules, would the same bay/port be able to function as both? |
