SWR Redundancy master standby switching

Edma Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I have created SWR redundancy project based on the CPU 315-2 PN/DP with CP 342-5. Redundancy link is running over CP. Everything is working fine then the master switches to the standby plc, but I have the problem then the master is back and the control should return from standby cpu to the master. Then program control is jumping from one plc to another without stop. I stop it only with manual master standby plc swithover(DB5.DBX10.0). Maybe somebody have experienced the same effect in you application. Thanks in advance Edmundas

As per your information, you are configuring redunandcy via ethernet. when your master cpu will stop, then your standby cpu will become master. If your orignal master came back in run mode, then it should be in standby not in . See when the Acting cpu switches to standby cpu and the standby cpu takes the role of the master. in no way the standby cpu will change back to the master cpu automatically if master comes back online Have fun...
