Hello!!!

I have simotion D425  With one servo axis as following axis and one external encoder master axis

in normal condition its working fine ,but during jog of master axis i'm getting fault message after that synchronization not working as per cam function 

its because of abnormal movement in master axis 

how can i adjust this in synchronization parameter tab?

When jogging, the master direction probably reverses for an instant (when it first starts moving from 0, or when stopping to 0 speed).

Alarm 50007 - FollowingObjectType

Cause
Activation/deactivation of Synchronous operation led to a fatal error. Possible causes are:

• During the synchronization operation, the master reversed direction and the selected synchronization/desynchronization strategy cannot tolerate this reversal.
• The master value noise during actual value coupling can be considered as the direction reversal of the master.
• Changes to master values result in an unattainable motion, e.g. by calling 'setMaster'.

Remedy:

• Check to determine whether the previously processed gearing command was completely executed.
• Check the master motion and change the synchronization strategy, if necessary.
• Check the possible "Tolerance of a master value reversal during synchronization" (see Synchronous Operation, Cam Function Manual)
• With actual value coupling with extrapolation, check the possibility of a tolerance window on the master axis or on the external encoder (see "Actual value coupling with tolerance window", Synchronous Operation, Cam Function Manual)

For Remedy of "Check the master motion and change the synchronization strategy, if necessary.":

• You can change Synchronization reference (Dynamic Response) to "Time" instead of "At Leading Axis Position".
  

For remedy of 'Check the possible "Tolerance of a master value reversal during synchronization" (see Synchronous Operation, Cam Function Manual)'

• it is referring to SYNCHRONOUS_OPERATION TO Configuration data variable SyncingMotion.masterReversionTolerance, which defaults to 0.0 (no tolerance)
  

Kindly, how did you solve Alarm 50007 

? 

Well probably he incremented the master's tolerance to inversion. So if master (when synching) goes slightly in negative direction, the TO won't give any alarm.

Another solution would be to change the Gear/Cam 's direction: instead of putting it negative or positive, it should just follow the master's direction

it looks like "  gearing with synchronization standard and shortest path " worked for me . 

but not sure which one solved it , standard or shortest or both !
