synchronize OS time with CPU time

dguarello Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	How i can synchronize the OS time with de CPU time. I dont have any extra hardware. this faq https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=22866782&caller=view talks about an CP443...i dont have a hardware with a descripcion like that. I have a CPU 315-2 pn/dp.

TommyGun Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	hello dguarello to synchronize the time, you only need to configure point 1 and 2 of the FAQ. When i remember rigth, it takes round about 5 min until the time is synchronized. Do you have sspecial requirements to the synchonistion??? regards TommyGun

dguarello Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Yes, but in point 1 talks about a CP443, and i dont have any CP443. I only needthe CPU time synchronized with the OS time. GMT-4

TommyGun Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello dguarello Yes you can´t use an CP 443 you don´t have a S7-400 CPU, i know. Configure your CPU how the CP in the points 1 and 2 ist configured . Did that not function? Sorry, i don´t unterstand your problem, please discribe it a littel bit more (and attach pictures maybe). regards TommyGun

dguarello Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Tommy, i dont find the CP menu about time, in my CPU, then i cant adjust this parameters. I cant do the first part of point 1. nemo, whit the second faq i cant read the date_time of the CPU...with this i could show in my wincc picture the date and time....however this dont guarantee OS time synchronyzed with CPU.... Alarm logging use the system time to save the events. i need PC system time synchrronized with CPU315-2 time... maybe you has tell me how do it, buti dont understand yet

TommyGun Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello dguarello In the Attatchmend you find a picture from the lowest version of your CPU and it has the same Register as you see in the Figure 3 of the FAQ you posted. 1. Select synchronisation Typ in PLC "As master" and Time Interval "1hour" (for testing take "1 Second") 2. In WinCC youmake the configuration of Figure 5 in the FAQ you posted.
