SYNCHRONIZED RUNNING OF 4 DRUMS

Dear All,

Can u please help me I have a machine with four drums in it I don't want to couple them mechanically and want to operate them with the motor for each drum shaft, means 4 drums 4 motors all with same speed and drum diameter . Now I will have issue of synchronization how to synchronize them wat do I need for that.

there are several ways to realize a synchronous operation.

You probably will use frequency converters and a PLC to program and control your machine. 

So let's assume you use a SIMATIC PLC (e.g. S7-1500) and SINAMICS drives (e.g. SINAMICS S or G series). Then you can connect all 4 drives to a Technology object of the SIMATIC. The technology objects in SIMATIC can do speed control, positioning, synchronous operation and much more. 

I think this is one of the easiest ways to realize your task. There are several application examples available here in the online support pages that will help you understanding how technology objects work.

For further explanations you should give us more details about your application and hardware etc.
