System resource not sufficient

I get the error showed in the attached file, I Have a PC with i5 cpu 8Gb ram and 40Gb free on HD.

Any suggestion ?

Hello SergioB,

seems like you opened too many editors parallel in TIA Portal. If you dont need an editor any more you should close it.

- Which operating system are you running?
- Is the application running "natively" or through an emulator?
- Which anti-virus type software is running in the background?

Trying to avoid going into deep details of the operator system..
Use the "Task Manager" and monitor what processes are running and how much resources are being used up. Think of using utilities to identify services that is running in the background eating up your resources.

Also to look at: [LINK] ... device drivers may also be a problem.

The operating system is Window 7.

The application is running "natively".

There is no antivirus.

With only the TIA Portal runnung I have 3 Gb of RAM free.

The strange is that until a few days ago the TIA Portal working properly.

I can not understand why suddenly such messages appear.

I have exactly the same problem! on two different machines both Windows7 professional. I regularly receive the attached message which is about having not sufficient system resources.

Enough free space at TEMP Directory?

Do you restart the PC regularly or do you tend to put it to sleep mode?

I have the same problem, I guess it's because I have not much RAM on my machine (4GB).
If I restart after the message it's as good as new until my RAM is to full again... how long it takes to fill up might depend on the project you build.

I have 261GB free memory on the HDD.The temp is empty...

The computer is being restarted at least once each day. You can see on the screenshot that the memory usage is pretty normal.

I'm posting my solution here because it's first post google found when I was searching for solution to similar problem (I'm aware of thread's age, but maybe somebody will see this solution before digging further).

I had to small paging file. To resize it you have to go this path:
Control Panel\System and Security\System > Advanced System Settings > Advanced tab > Performance settings > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory Change...
As I remember total virtual memory should be 150% of RAM.

Now I have 12GB RAM, 16-24GB (before change I had 4GB) virtual, on Windows 10 notebook with i7 3rd gen. With few windows open in TIA V15, Firefox with few tabs, MS Defender antivirus I have 8,5GB RAM used and 11,5GB virtual memory used.

I can't understand why nowadays nobody respects RAM and every application consumes tremendous amounts of it...
