Daniel_CPC Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm new to PLC programming. I'm having some problems in communications between an OPC server and a PLC (S7-1200 and CPU 1214C) based on Ethernet network. (Programs used for OPC - > Step7 v5.5 SP3 and SIMATICNET v8.1, for PLC -> Tia Portal V11 SP2 up5 Basic version). Due to this problem, I need to reset the Profinet communication between both from PLC side. As first solution SIEMENS support suggested to stablish the communication by using blocks T-CON and T-DISCON. Then I will able to open and close the communications whenever I want. but I'm finding troubles defining this connection way from OPC side. The second solution I found is by changing the PLC IP from the program, using T-Config block. For this solution I have followed all steps in the manual. I have also followed all what appears on the following thread: /tf/WW/en/Posts/66848 But when the program is running and I generate a true value for REQ signal from watch and force table, nothing happens. Status, Error, Busy and done outputs don't change. I have attached some screenshots of CONF_DB, Profinet_Interface Properties and T-CONFIG block. Any help/suggestion is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello, on first view, I can not find anything wrong. The only thing, you can do is: The ERROR, STATUS are only valid ONE cycle. So...please add one more program code and copy the STATUS value only in case of an ERROR (positive edge)in to a memory DWORD. Like: If ERROR then STATUS_saved:=STATUS; END_IF; What is the value of STATUS_save?

The Status_Saved has stored the value C080_8100 which matches with: "Hardware identification at parameter INTERFACE is not assigned to the supported PROFINET interface" This means that can't My ethernet port be configured by this way? Because, the Hardware Identificator that I can find on Inspector view-> Properties -> Advanced -> Port (X1)(P1) -> Hardware Identifier is 65, exactly as I configured on T_Config Block. Any Idea? Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	From CPU firmware V2.0 STEP 7 (TIA-Portal) provides for the SIMATIC S7-1200 the T_CONFIG. If you use CPU >2.0 it should work. Please check the HW ID again. The hardware ID is also stored in the system constants of the PLC tags. A faq to T_CONFIG is here http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/75795361

Finally, as you said, I selected the Hardware ID from PLC constants (image attached), I stored the Error and Status words and also I stored the DB on Systems blocks -> Program Resources.
