TagLogging Runtime ERROR in WinCC 7

BilalD Posts: 157 Rating: (10)	Hi, I have a problem that faced me after good working for long time (Using WinCC 7), Suddenly, while activating my project, the activating was stucked in "TagLogging RunTime" exactly in "Initializing archive management".... I can't Deactivite the project, and Ican't even enter to WinCC Explorer to change settings.. From PMDiagnose.log File, the following are visible: 2009_3_2 11 11:46:31:422 CCProjectMgr.exe StartService:No progress made within the wait hint failed for CCTlgServer with error 0: The operation completed successfully. 2009_3_2 11 11:46:31:437 CCProjectMgr.exe StartService ss.dwCurrentState != SERVICE_RUNNING failed for CCTlgServer with error 183: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. any help plz..???

As well as some other preceeding that may help locate the problem. Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Close WinCC Explorer and delete the taglogging files (after making backup)from the archive folder and then activate runtime. Also, try with a test project to make sure the installation is ok. Regards

Vandr Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi, I've got the same problem in the log file and there is no any error dialogs. Alarm Logging Runtime just hangs up at the 5% of the "Initializing archive management". It starts happens after I added the only alarm and set to start Alarm Logging Runtime on the wincc server. Alarm Logging Runtime didn't start before that time. And one more question. How to disable RunTime autostart when Wincc project explorer opens?

One way is to open another project by double-clicking the project.mcp file of another WinCC project (found in the project root). BTW, is the following thread related to the same problem? Alarm Logging RunTime hangs up (WinCC 7.0) If yes, I think you should delete it. Regards

Thanx for advice, but if I open a project is not deactivated before than the project get started again. Also, I've found out that this is not the only project problem. I've created another new server project, have set Alarm Logging Runtime up at startup without adding any alarm and got stuck at the same place.

MaryK Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi I've the same problem with tag logging. If you have figure out the problem, please let me know. By the way, to stop wincc explorer to run the project while it's openning it, you can press CTRL+SHIFT while openingwincc explorer.

Komi Posts: 291 Rating: (69)	Hi, I noticed that there's an error messing saying: "183: Cannot create a file when that file already exists." I've seen this message before because because I had scheduled a NTP-Time_Synchronization at my OS's startup. & My system time has been synchronized backward to a time. Also, I had autostart of WinCC Runtime. So ~ After my OS being re-started up & my system time being synchronized to a "previous" time. Then, the error coccured in AutoStarting of WinCC Runtime. But ~ In my case, I had done as what Phantom75 said: " Close WinCC Explorer and delete the taglogging files (after making backup) from the archive folder and then activate runtime. " & then I got WinCC Runtime recovered. But I also lot a segament of my Taglogging data. (There's a time (segment) overlap of the Taglogging. So I need to give it up.) Just for your information, Komi

This error happened, If I copy the whole project folder to let it run in another computer which has quite "old" system time having overlap with the time-stamp for logged segment.
