take line speed with encoder

I use a counter module 24V 100KHz (6ES7 138-4DA04-0AB0) I try to synchronize a modification to the main machine. I want to take the line speed with encoder 1000 pulse per revolution how to calculate the pulse to take m/min.Is correct module or it must to use samething else to take the right speed? Can you give me same instraction or a simple project best regards
