Taking Datas from S7 DBs to SQL Server

murali Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello... In my project I have a Weigher which is on a profibus and sends datas toa soft PLC. Is there any possibility to send those datas which are in DBs to an SQL server or an Ms access table so that I can generate a report of the datas comming form it. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, the only way that jumps into my mind is the way over an OPC Server. The OPC Server can provide MS Access with the required Data. The OPC Server is placed on top of a SOFTNET S7 driver that collects the Data from the PLC. The thing would be that the Win LC can be either in the same PC as the OPC Server or in two different PCs, just as you want. For two PCs you will have to use DCOM. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry, for the configuration of the Connection with STEP 7 I have no Sample handy, but it is not that difficult. You have to add the OPC Server to your PC Station in HW Config. In NetPro you have to create a S7-Connection form the OPC Server to the WIN LC and that’s it.
