My program on a S7-1500 (developed on TIA PORTAL) is performing a TCP connection on a remote PLC or PC hardware using TCON_DB. So far everything good. I am even able to disconnect using TDISCON_DB.

But, once the PLC has been disconnected, it doesn't even try again to be connected on the same remote equipment (no new TCP packet).

I would like to implement a way that the PLC will retry the connection until it works. If it is works it disconnect and try again.

Any idea?

You could consider to use TSEND_C and TRECV_C

These blocks contains TCON, TDISCON, etc and all mechanisms you expect (reestablish communication) is included. You can remove TCON/TDISCON from your program when using TSEND_C.

And instead of completely defining the connection in a DB, you can define the connection in TIA.
In the DB you than refer to a configured connection (type = 254).
Configured connections have the specificity that they will be establishing as soon as the PLC starts.
