Spyrocz Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, there was similar topichttps://www.automation.siemens.com/NL/tf/WW/en/Posts/88265but there wasnt explained how created code in C# forestablish communiction and for exchange data between PC and PLC viaTCON, TDISCON, TRECV, TSEND. So i want to ask if someone can help me or show right way. Or if someone know more easy way to comunicated via TCON, TDISCON, TRECV, TSEND with PC i will be happy :-) Thanks Daniel

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, on PC side without any Siemens Software you must use a native TCP Connection. In Windows you have to use the TCP WinSock interface. On Internet you will find many sample how to program TCP WinSock application in C#. On PLC you must use the connection type TCP and using Ports instead of TSAP. Let the PC establish the connection, because the PLC is always on, but the pc will reboot some time. Use on PLC a fix TCP Port and let the remote port for the PC empty. The PC regular uses any free port and this port will/can change from boot to boot.

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, from PC you will send only a byte block via TCP. On PLC you have to call the TRCV function on the connection. With this function you have the receive Pointer as output to any specified DB. There your will find the received data then. If you want to access a specified address from PC this functions are not possible. In this case you must use the S7 Protocol and SIEMENS Software on PC Side. The Programming interface for C# is the SIMATIC NET OPC Server and the OPC Data programming interface. With Siemens Software you will get also sample programs how to program then OPC.

We are using TCON, TSEND, TRECV instruction on the PLC side. The Server end software has been developed by another ( IT ) vendor, but we know it is in C# ( So do not haveany details on how the C# program has been written ) Here is a nice tool for testing TCP/IP Sonnections on the PC Side which we use to test our PLCs before connecting them to the actual server http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools/Network-Testing/SocketTest.shtml Hope this helps Cheers Navnag

Spyrocz Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thanks for testing software and helps. OPC i cant use because in that way i must buy licence for OPC Server but i need free visualization and controling PLC from PC. Rated Xyou wrote that iwill send only a byte block via TCP. So is possible to change some details in PLC from PC? for example set output?

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, for this you must write program code on PLC side. You will receive the data on a DB (you will specify the DB at theTRCV function). After receiving the data use the load and Transfer function to copy the data to the specified location (outputs, flags or other DB's).
