TCP/IP Comunication

Bjekas Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I successfully configured a TCP communication between s7-400 cpu and my pc using a CP443 Using UDP I was able to send data but not to receive... kind of strange but wtv... My problem now is to stablish the same TCP/UDP communication without usinga CP The AG_SEND/AG_RECV blocks wont work without a CP! Is this true or am I doing something wrong? If so, is there a way to stablish TCP comm. with a pc using a CPU PN channel? best regards, Daniel Elias

Bjekas Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi Hulzhex, thank you for your help. I've read the links you gave me and I learn that TCON, TSEND, TRCV and TDISCON blocks will work with both CP and cpu PN channel. Correct me if Im wrong! On my pc Im using a TCP test tool: http://sockettest.sourceforge.net/ I tried to configure TCON block to connect to my pc but til now its not working These are my TCON parameters: block_lenght - 16#40 id - 16#01 connection type - 16#11 active est - FALSE (guess this sets it to client) local_device_id -16#00 (Im currently testing with CP despite the fact that I intend to use PN cpu channel) local_tsap_id_len - 16#02 rem_staddr_len- 16#04 local_tsap_id[1] - 16#07 local_tsap_id[2] - 16#D0 (port 2000) everything else is 16#00 plc cp ip - 10.0.0.60 pc ip - 10.0.0.5 Any idea what am I doing wrong?

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello Bjekas, Communication over Industrial Ethernet CP of the S7-400 only works with ISO-on-TCP, that means connection_type = B#16#12.
